Gail Pitzen

Gail is extremely excited to see her dream of teaching 4K in her child care business become a reality. She is passionate about the importance of quality early care and education and is thrilled to welcome more families through Community-Based 4K. Gail has her Early Childhood: Exceptional Educational Needs Degree from UW-Whitewater. She started her career as a teacher at UW-Platteville Children’s Center. When she and her husband had their first child, she started her own center. She owned and operated Country Care Children’s Center LLC as a family child care center for 17 years. Five years ago, she built the current center designed especially for young children. Gail is grateful for her loving and supportive family- her husband Tim and four daughters: Kaylee, Hannah, Ashlyn, and Carina. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, running, and spending time with family and friends. Gail is determined to work tirelessly to serve the Community-Based 4K families and the community.

Community-based 4K is housed at Country Care Children’s Center LLC. Children who need care for the hours when they are not in the 4K program can remain in one location for both 4K and child care thus reducing the stress of transitions and of being away from home. The physical environment is specifically designed for children this age. All programming is in line with the Wisconsin Model of Early Learning Standards. Children learn through active involvement with their environment. This involvement provides for the growth of the whole child, physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Children are provided time and opportunity to read, move, sing, discuss, observe, create, and play each and every day.
